Established in 1953, Matthews & Associates was one of the largest insurance brokerages in Central Ontario.  In 2001, Matthews & Associates was sold to Brokerlink with a subsequent name change.

In 1984 Matthews & Associates established a life and investment company to provide employee benefits, personal and corporate life insurance and investment planning. Matthews & Associates Insurance & Investment Services was not sold and continues on in the Employee Benefit, Personal and Corporate Life Insurance and Investment Planning business.

Matthews & Associates Insurance & Investment is an Agent for Manulife Financial and Manulife Securities. Manulife is one of the largest life insurance companies in North America with over $59 Billion in Assets.
